We turned each available room into a professional interview space, taking care of the camera, lighting and sound while keeping the contributor comfortable and relaxed.
The assignment
Two Australian stories, filmed locally for a UK production
Unbelievable Moments Caught on Camera is shown on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK. It features astonishing, frightening and uplifting videos recorded by members of the public, then meets the people involved to find out what really happened.
MultiStory Media needed us to film two Australian stories: Sydney Fishermen Rescued From Sinking Ship and Kitesurfer Dragged Underwater By Humpback Whale. The shoots took place at Newport near Sydney and Dora Creek outside Newcastle.
The director needed to quickly earn each contributor’s trust, interview them and help them tell their story naturally. We also filmed b-roll and their reactions as they watched the original footage and relived the moment.
We supplied a director, camera operator and sound recordist, plus all the camera, lighting and sound equipment. While the UK team stayed closely involved, we took care of the contributors, travel and local filming arrangements.
